How to mint MAO inscription?

Introduction

MAO tokens represent the profit rights of the Mixin Autonomous Organization (MAO). All revenues of the MAO organization will be fairly distributed to MAO token holders：

MAO tokens are minted through the Mixin Inscription minting system in a fair manner, with no whitelist or early bird mechanisms.
The minimum minting unit is 1 XIN, in integer multiples, with a maximum of 10 XIN per transaction.
The fixed ratio for minting MAO using XIN is 1 XIN = 10,000,000 MAO.
MAO tokens will be minted on August 1, 2024, at 8 PM UTC+8.

Steps

Step 0: Update Mixin Messenger to version 1.10.0 or higher.
You could download or update Mixin from the official website.

Step 1: log in
Log in to the https://inscription.mixin.space website or search for the 7000105124 bot in Mixin Messenger and connect your wallet.

Step 2: Select collection"
Select the MAO collection from the website, and click Inscribe Now.
Click the https://inscription.mixin.space/collections/db65c3ba-2d80-306e-bf25-300762f22ba1" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" role="link" class="csh-markdown csh-markdown-link csh-markdown-link-text">URL to visit the MAO collection directly.

Step 3: Amount
Specify the number of tokens you want to mint. Or adjust the amount by tapping the「+」and「-」buttons at right side.
Each mint costs 1 XIN and mints 10,000,000 MAO tokens.

Step 4: Payment
Complete the payment to mint the MAO tokens.
If the mint fails, 1% will be deducted, and the remaining amount will be refunded to the Mixin Messenger account you are currently logged in to. For example, after you make the payment and are waiting in the queue for your order to be minted, the refund process will be initiated at that time if all the MAO collections have already been fully minted.

Step 5: View the MAO collectiblesd
View the minted MAO collectibles in your Mixin Messenger account.

Step 6: Get MAO tokens
To receive the MAO tokens, go to Mixin Messenger's MAO collection detail page, select the "Release" option in the menu, and enter your PIN.

FAQ

What is the difference between holding MAO collectibles and MAO tokens?
One MAO collectible = 1 MAO inscription + 10,000,000 MAO tokens
If you don't want the MAO inscription, you can directly release the MAO collectible to receive the corresponding MAO tokens.
When you transfer a MAO collectible to someone, you transfer the MAO inscription and 10,000,000 MAO tokens.

Can I mint MAO tokens using other cryptocurrencies like BTC or ETH?
Yes, the Mixin Inscription minting system supports exchanging other cryptocurrencies like BTC, ETH, USDT, etc. to XIN, which can then be used to mint MAO tokens.

Can minting fail?
Yes, minting can potentially fail, even if the payment has been made. This is because the minting order is determined by the time the payment is received, and if all MAO tokens have already been minted, the minting will fail. In case of a failed minting, 1% of the amount will be deducted, and the remaining amount will be refunded to the Mixin Messenger account used for the minting.
