What is PIN?

The PIN, composed of six digits, is the only passcode on the Mixin Messenger. All operations-related assets and privacy, such as changing phone numbers, transferring assets, setting up Emergency contact, etc., require users to input their PIN to verify that they are the owner. When the first time you set up a PIN or change a new PIN, the app will ask you to repeat it 4 times, ensuring you remember it.


The TIP protocol protects the PIN; it cannot be recovered if you forget it. Please remember it or note it down and save it to a safe place.
