How to Set or Change Your Profile Picture
You can update your profile picture at any time to personalize your account.
Mixin Messenger allows you to take a new photo or choose one from your photo gallery.
Set or Change Profile Picture
- Open Mixin Messenger
- Tap your profile picture in the top-right corner
- Go to Profile → Change Avatar
- Choose one of the following options:
- Change Profile Photo with Camera: Take a new photo using your device camera
- Change Profile Photo with Library: Choose an existing photo from your gallery
Set an NFT as Your Avatar
If you’ve purchased NFTs in Mixin, you can set one of them as your avatar:
- Open Mixin Messenger → More (bottom navigation bar)
- Tap Collectibles
- Select the NFT you want to set as your avatar
- Tap the three dots ⋯ in the upper right corner
- Choose Set as Avatar from the menu
FAQ
1. Why do others still see my old profile picture after I changed it?
Mixin does not automatically refresh profile pictures.
Other users will see your updated avatar only when they tap on your profile picture or username.
2. Why can’t I take a photo with my camera?
Check your system settings to ensure Mixin has permission to access your device’s camera.
3. Why can’t I see photos in my gallery or all of my photos?
Check your system settings to confirm Mixin has permission to access your photo gallery or all photos.
