How to Send Logs to Developers
Below are the standard ways to export and send logs to the Mixin team so we can diagnose issues more effectively.
Preparation
Update to the latest version
Make sure your app is up to date. Download the latest version
If You Cannot Log In
When you can’t log in to your Mixin account, follow the steps below.
iOS
- On the login page, tap the customer support icon in the top-right to open a chat.
- Press and hold the top area of the support chat box (as shown in the guide image) for 3–5 seconds until the log window pops up.
- Choose one of the following:
• Copy the log content and paste it into the chat, or
• Save the log as a file.
- If you saved the log file:
• Close the log popup.
• Choose Send Attachment in the chat.
• Navigate to the folder where you saved the log file and send it to support.
If You Are Logged In
Open a Conversation
From the home screen, open any group or direct chat (via the list or by search).
Send Logs (by platform)
iOS
• Press and hold the conversation title bar for 5 seconds → choose Send logs to developers.
Android
• Go to Mixin Settings > About.
• Tap the Mixin image 5 times on that page to reveal Logs & Debugging.
• Tap Share log file to send the logs.
• If messages can’t be sent in Mixin, use Share log file to save locally, then send the file through the website’s floating support widget.
macOS (Desktop)
Open the folder: ~/Library/Containers/one.mixin.messenger.desktop/Data/Documents/log
Windows (Desktop)
Open the folder: C:\Users\<YourUserName>\Documents\Mixin\log

Other Ways to Send Logs
If Mixin messages cannot be delivered and you can’t send the log file in-app:
• Save the log file to your device and send it via the floating support widget on the official website, or
• Email the log file to kelly@mixin.one.
Please include:
• A short description of the issue
• Your Mixin ID
• (Optional) Time the issue occurred, device model, OS version, and app version
