How to Enable/Disable Pay With Face ID?
Mixin supports Face ID Payment, allowing you to use Face ID instead of entering your PIN for a more efficient experience. However, Face ID cannot help you recover your PIN, and you will still need to enter your PIN periodically to ensure its validity.
Enabling Face ID Payment
- Open Mixin Settings
Tap your profile picture > Settings
- Locate PIN Settings
Go to Account > Security > PIN
- Enable Face ID Payment
Enter your PIN to confirm activation.
- Set PIN Interval Time
You still need to enter your PIN periodically. Here, you can set the PIN interval time, with a minimum of 15 minutes and a maximum of 24 hours.
Disabling Face ID Payment
To turn off Face ID Payment, simply toggle the Face ID Payment switch off.

- Why can’t I enable Face ID Payment on my device?
Mixin’s Face ID Payment feature relies on your device’s built-in Face ID or fingerprint authentication. If this feature is not enabled on your device, Mixin cannot activate Face ID Payment.
- Why do I still need to enter my PIN after enabling Face ID Payment?
For security reasons, Face ID Payment has an expiration period. Once the interval time is exceeded, you must re-enter your PIN.
For example, if you set the PIN interval to 2 hours, you can use Face ID for transactions within 2 hours after entering your PIN. However, after 2 hours, Mixin will require you to enter your PIN again to confirm any transactions.
