# Can assets be recovered if both the Owner Key and Members Key are lost?

||| The answer is NO!

Recovery Key can help users to recover their assets in case of people lost Owner Key **OR** Members Key. Users can contact the Mixin Safe team to recover their assets with the Recovery Key held by the team and the rest of the Members Key or Owner Key after the time lock expires.

In order to avoid losing the Owner Key and Members Key at the same time, we strongly recommend that you:
| Don't put the Owner Key and Members Key on the same device to avoid losing both keys due to the device!
